Cricket Fans, Chai Loyalists, Auto Negotiators: An Ode to Peak Indian
A love letter to the small, brilliant, unrepeatable things about growing up in India; and the tees that quietly celebrate them.
There is a specific muscle memory to living in India. Your thumb knows how to scroll past a "Good morning" flower without opening it. Your ear knows the exact pitch of a pressure cooker's third whistle. Your soul knows that the match is not over till the last ball, and even then, negotiations continue in the group chat.

The Cricket Fan
There is no fan on earth quite like the Indian cricket fan. We invented a form of religion that also has statistics. We can argue about a 1996 semifinal like it happened last Tuesday. We watch a T20 with the intensity of a courtroom drama and the volume of a wedding.
The Chai Loyalist
The Indian chai loyalist has strong opinions about ginger. Also cardamom. Also the exact number of minutes the tea should boil. Also who at the office makes it wrong. Nobody has ever won a chai argument. That is not the point. The point is having the argument.
The Auto Negotiator
You have not lived until you have negotiated an auto fare with a driver who has 40 years of experience and you have Google Maps. You will lose. You will pay ₹30 extra. You will still tell your friend proudly that you "settled at a good rate." This is diplomacy. This is theatre. This is Tuesday.
The Uncle at Any Family Function
He has an opinion about your career. He remembers a story about your father from 1987. He will feed you until you cannot breathe. He is a national resource and should be protected.
Wear The Country
The best humour is local. It only works because we have all lived it. That's why an Offbeat tee lands harder in Bandra, Bangalore, or Pondy than a generic slogan ever could. You know it. Your cousin knows it. The uncle at the wedding definitely knows it.
